We Find
A Place in the Mountains
The property is about three miles up a dirt road that winds through deciduous oaks, crosses a stream and ends up at our 40 acres of oak and pine canyon.
We use the old 1910 Harriman coach as a temporary cabin.
It came with the place and has a fireplace.
But first we had to haul away many trailer loads of trash
And fix the old well.
And find the boundaries.
Unfortunately, drought, bark beetles and mistletoe have killed many trees.
So I spend a lot of time cutting down dead trees and splitting the rounds for firewood. Need any?.
One result - there's no shortage of tables and seating.
Our boys quickly built a rope swing and we hope to build a rustic cabin some day, with their help.
"It's all ours!"
