In South Pasadena,  Maureen grows lots of roses including a fenceful of noisettes, such as 'Gloire de Dijon' (top), or Duchesse d'Auerstadt (upper right), or 'Marechal Neil' (lower right), though her favorite is the powerfully fragrant , nearly-always-in-bloom, and short-of-stature 'Eugene de Beauharnais' (below).  Eugene was the son of Josephine, from her first husband, before marrying Napolean.
