| Overnights got goods from Los Angeles to San Francisco overnight (and vice versa), a 1950's version of FedEx. Leaving River Station Freight sheds after business hours, it carried LCL (Less Than Carload) freight behind Mountains and even Daylight engines, arriving in S.F. at 8:45 a.m. Brochures (below) from around 1933. |
