Taix restaurant still exists but not in this location so I'm not sure where this photo was taken, but it shows a typical siding snaking up between warehouses and businesses in 1950's LA. Note all the signs painted on buildings and the  elaborate billboard with the lattice work.
More miscellaneous sidings, photographed in the 1980's and now mostly gone. The concrete structure above appeared to have been a produce terminal and was located further south on Alameda in the produce district. White King Soap (two shots below) was further north).
