| Riding the Revenue Cutter "Bear" to Point Barrow, Alaska in 1911 Jay Norton, a friend of Uncle Billy's, borrowed the Kodak 3A Folding camera when he went to Alaska in 1911 on the USRC Bear. Billy ended up with prints and a few negatives, plus a walrus tusk and an Eskimo belt. Unalaska is the town shown here. Other pages show some of the native peoples and a walrus hunt on the ice flows of the Bering Sea.. |
